So much for not-blogging attitude...
Oh yes, don’t forget to read the poem below. It’s one of my Creative Writing assignments, one where I had to work on Fairy Tales, so I picked Cinderella as my choice. Composed and written by ME. I’ve kept it for almost a year, so I guess it’s time to let the cat out of the bag. (In a good way, of course) Some background knowledge for those of you who’d never heard of Cinderella in your entire life: Cinderella has 2 stepsisters and a wicked stepmother who ill-treats her. And she’s supposed to leave the ballroom at 12 midnight, according to the fairy Godmother. Okay enough said.. If u still don’t get it, then it’s your own bloody problem.. She was such a poor little girl Whose life has turned a little swirl When fairy godmother took her wand It was in no time, and without a warn And when Cinderella wore the splendid gown It made her two stepsisters frown “Is that Cinderella?” “Are you nuts?” Said the sisters with utter disgust “How could she be here at the ball? “When she’s at home scrubbing the walls!” And oh! That charming prince! Thought Cinderella It was lucky she didn’t wince And Through the night, they dance and dance The striking clock she’d never glance It was until the moonlight lit “Come on pumpkins, let’s call it quits” And off she ran into the night Deep into the forest and out of sight She should have left the ballroom at 12 “No one reminded me!” she thought by herself And so she left a glass slipper She hardly felt her foot suffer When prince searched for his future wife The stepsisters had a moment of strife But Cinderella stood there patiently and waits Till the prince asked “What bout the ‘maid’?” Said Stepmother “She’s just a servant Who stay here in this house, so vacant” Nevertheless, Cinderella tried the slipper on And Prince’s father said “This is it son!” Cinderella couldn’t help but smile so wide When the prince asked, “Will you be my bride…? With me I shall bring you back home To the land of Paris we shall roam “Oh yes, Your Highness, I definitely do It’s a moment, so unforgettable, for us two.” What do you think? The problem now is, this poem doesn’t have a title, yet. I’m stuck between two, Beyond a Cinderella Story OR Cinderella the Musical? Can you help me decide? Please? Thank you so very much. Much love, sarcastically... |
